How do I include spaces in long file names when running utilities?

To include spaces in long file names, you must enclose the file name within quotation marks. This tells the operating system to treat the enclosed text as a single parameter. Here is an example:

mrg2fapw /i=”571173390DECPAGE DUP INS _1.met" /x=progr.fxr /t=met

In this example, the file name associated with the first parameter (/i) includes spaces.

Also use quotation marks if the parameter data includes commas, semicolons, hyphens, or forward slashes.
